Baja Missions Ministry

Baja Ministries
"Then I heard the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here I am. Send me.”
— Isaiah 6:8

The vision of the Baja Mexico Mission is to glorify God by actively participating in God’s calling for Wintersburg to become a Missional Church.

In order to carry out this vision, we seek to:
    • Create avenues for our Members to be exposed, to be educated, and to actively participate in Missions
    • Provide Inter-generational opportunities to serve and learn together; to grow the hearts of all who participate (those who go and those who support) for missions
    • Share the Good News of Jesus Christ with the local people
    • Demonstrate the Love of God by building homes for the needy
    • Provide on-going love, support, and encouragement to the families we build homes so they become part of Wintersburg’s extended family
    • To be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, through prayer and study as we seek to expand this ministry.

The Baja Ministry started in 2007 with six guys who went to Baja and built a house. They thought they would change the lives of a family in need. Not only was it a life changing event for the family, it changed the lives of the six who went. Since then, more than 100 people have traveled to Baja and built 13 houses and a Technical Center (as of September 2015). Many of the people have gone multiple times; two have gone each year since the beginning. The Ministry has expanded beyond Wintersburg to three other churches who continue to participate.
