High School Ministry

Youth Ministries

The focus of Wintersburg Youth Ministries is to teach the Word of God. As we begin to understand the truths contained in scripture, we will begin to have a proper response to God and what He has done for us. This is a response of hope and gratitude which spurs us on toward obedient living. This obedient living extends into every aspect of our lives including: the things we fill our minds with, excellence in school, God-centered friendships, relationships, homelife, parents, priorities, service, and much more. At Wintersburg, we are committed to leading students to Christlike behavior through Biblical teaching and exemplary living.

Ike Pono

Ike Pono is the High School Ministry at Wintersburg. Ike Pono is Hawaiian for "to seek righteousness." We meet every Friday night at 7:30pm and for Sunday School at 9:00am. Ike Pono is committed to proclaiming the gospel and teaching on the deeper truths of the Christian Faith. We have a time of singing praises to God, hearing from the Word of God, and small group discussion and accountability. Does this sound too serious??? Aside from the serious time, we also know how to get a little crazy. We have icebreakers which at times could get a little wild (Screaming Viking? Kamikaze Pilot?). We have a great time of refreshments and just hanging out. There are also opportunities if you would like to get more involved with the group in the various ministry teams. Come out to the Friday Night Fellowship. We learn great truths about God and have a lot of fun doing it.

Purpose Statement

The Purpose of Ike Pono is to GLORIFY God by EQUIPPING students to SERVE others, SHARE their faith, and build up UNITY in the body so that they may delight in God's truth and promises.
