Online Resources for Small Group Leaders
As the family of God, we as Christians are called to do our best to consistently fellowship with one another in love. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we may be unable to meet in-person for the foreseeable future. We encourage all of our small group leaders to begin hosting meetings online! Here are some ideas for how you can get started!
Zoom
https://zoom.us
Zoom is a video conferencing software that can be used to host as many as 100 people! Check out some tutorial videos here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206618765-Zoom-Video-Tutorials.
Wintersburg has purchased four Zoom rooms that any small group, Sunday School class, or other church group can utilize. These rooms are password protected, have unlimited meeting length, and can hold up to 100 members simultaneously. If you are interested in booking a room for your group, please fill out the link below:
Watch2gether
https://www.watch2gether.com
Watch2gether is a website that allows groups of people to watch YouTube videos at the same time as one another. There is limited text and video chat support, so this may be a good way to watch the Sunday service with some other Wintersburg members!
Discord
https://discordapp.com
Discord is an integrated text, audio, and video chat platform. It is a powerful way to host large groups of people together and give them the option to break off into smaller groups. Discord is very complicated and not for the faint of heart. However, we plan to begin using it for the Youth Ministry! If you’d like to take a look at a quick tutorial, you can watch it here:
