Days & Years
“You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance.” Psalm 65:11
We are already 9 days into the new year. As we read through the Bible, we see that it uses the word year over 700 times. Beginning in Genesis chapter 1:14, we see that God established the sun and moon to “be for signs and seasons for days and years.” God created the world as a sphere that rotates on its axis every 24 hours and revolves around the sun every 365 days. A new year can signal a fresh start, a new beginning, and even a new you.
Psalm 65, is a psalm of praise for God’s goodness and bounty that he faithfully has provided.
Thought For Today: As we begin this 2nd week of a new year, remember that a new you begins with praising God for His new beginnings. I hope that you will take time today to give praise to God and give thanks for his goodness and bounty.
