Perfect Peace
“Thou will keep in perfect peace those whose mind are stayed on him.”
Isaiah 26:3
How is your life in the midst of the events surrounding our nation and the world? Feeling anxious, worried, fearful, uncertain about the future? Perhaps like you, I find that I’m trying to figure that out to. I’m not anxious or worried about my future, I know that it is God’s hand. But I do wonder, when will a new pastor come to Wintersburg? When will I return to Monterey? How will my disabled daughter cope with life amidst her diagnosis of Transverse Myelitis? What does the future hold for her?
Isaiah 26:3 says; “Thou will keep in perfect peace those whose mind are stayed on him.” In the midst of the uncertainty of our time, let us keep our mind stayed on the Lord.” There are many things that can cause us to feel fearful but I John 4:18 says, “Perfect love cast out fear.” We have been the recipients of God’s amazing love and grace made known through his son Jesus. If we keep our minds focused on God’s love, his sovereignty, and his abiding presence with us always, we can know that peace.
Thought For Today: Focus on God’s love for you. Thank God that he knows how you are feeling. He knows your worries, anxiety, and fear. Cast your cares upon Him because he cares for you.” I Peter 4:7
