Daylight Savings Time Ends!
“A little before dawn, Jesus went to a solitary place to pray.”
Mark 1:35
Today ends Daylight Saving Time. Saving, not Savings Time. Seasons bring change. One change is Daylight Saving Time (unless you live in Hawaii or Arizona). In the spring, the clock moves forward one hour and in the fall, they are turned back one hour. Daylight becomes shorter or longer according to the season and the time change.
There are also seasons and changes in life. At times, you take great strides in your Christian walk. Other times you resort to old habits, which set you back. You have good and bad days, ups and downs and we realize life is a struggle, but it also is surrounded by mercy and grace. The important thing to remember is to seek the Lord and trust Him in whatever season of life we find ourselves. The Christian life is not always peaceful and happy. At times life is hard—but is even harder without God.
One way of overcoming the unavoidable changes in life is to start each day spending time with the Lord. This may sound difficult, but when you seek Him before your day even begins, you are preparing yourself for whatever the day may hold. Remember, even Jesus rose early to pray. Seasons change, but He doesn’t. There is nothing like spending time with God to help you get through the day.
Thought For Today: Did you remember to set your clock back one hour? Whatever season of life you find yourself in, take time to begin the day with God.
Today’s Prayer Focus: Praise God that he doesn’t change. That he is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Deo Volente.
