Let’s Meet Together

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25

Once again, Sunday has rolled around and we have the opportunity and privilege of gathering together as a church family. This will be a busy day at Wintersburg as we have a prayer meeting, Sunday School, a Unity Service, an all-church photo, and a “Fireside Chat.”

At the Fireside Chat, we will hear from our Staff and Session as well as receive updates on my future plans at Wintersburg as well as updates from the PNC and the Implementation Team. Church members will also be able to give feedback on how they feel things are going at church.

The writer to the Hebrews says how important it is to meet together. Some, by failing to meet have fallen away from the faith. Attending Sunday services is an important aspect of living the Christian life. Being in a church community allows us to encourage one another and spur one another on to love and do good deeds. It also allows us the command of Jesus to “Remember the sabbath and keep it holy.”

Thought For Today: The writer to the Hebrews reminds us not to give up meeting together. Will you be counted among the church fellowship today? Hope to see you soon.

Today’s Prayer Focus: Let us pray that in all things, God will be honored and glorified by all that transpires today. Deo Volente.
