“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength…..” Isaiah 40:31

Yesterday I was at the ATM Machine to make a transaction. Normally, when I make a transaction there is a message that pops up, “How do you want your receipt?” Email, print, or none. When I pushed the email tab, it said, “No email on file.” So I pushed the print receipt tab.

When I got home, I checked my online account but couldn’t find a record of my transaction so I went back to the bank to see what the problem was. Apparently, by the time I made the transaction, there was a delay in processing my transaction. I did everything the ATM machine asked of me.

The machine showed me a message, ‘Please insert your card.’ I did.

Then another message popped up, ‘Please enter your PIN code.’ I did.

And then another message came, ‘…select the amount.’ I did that too.

After I had done all these, the ATM showed me a message in BOLD letters: YOUR TRANSACTION IS BEING PROCESSED, PLEASE WAIT!

I think the same is true when it comes to prayer. Often times it seems we have done all that we are asked to do. Pray and keep on praying. Asking others to pray for our concerns. But often times it seems that nothing is happening. The lesson from the ATM machine is, YOUR PRAYERS ARE BEING PROCESSED, PLEASE WAIT!,

Thought For Today: When it comes to prayer, it isn’t that your prayers aren’t heard; it’s not that your prayers are irrelevant; it’s not that your prayers are meaningless, you are having to wait because YOUR PRAYER TRANSACTION IS BEING PROCESSED.
