Dot To Dot

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11

Do you remember playing the game “Dot To Dot” as a child. We often see this game being played in a children’s magazine or at some restaurants where they bring out special placemats for children. The game begins when you connect the numbers and go from 1 to 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4……..etc. As you begin the game you can not tell what kind of picture you are drawing, but as you continue to connect the dots, the picture comes more and more into focus.

Often times that is the way it is when we are seeking to follow God’s Will. Often times we are wandering around wondering what God is doing in our lives. However, after we turn around and look back, we can see God does have a plan for our lives. Although we may not see what God is doing in our lives at the moment, we take heart that God does indeed have a plan and purpose for our lives, that they are plans for good and not evil, to give us a hope and a future.

Thought For Today: Reflect upon the question, “How does God’s promise of a hope for the future enable you to persevere through the trials and difficulties in your life?

Today’s Prayer Focus: Continue to pray for the conflict in Israel among the Palestinians. Pray for peace in this decades old conflict. Deo Volente.
