An Unchanging God In A Changing World
“I the LORD do not change” Malachi 3:6
Does it seem to you that our world is in chaos? The war between Israel and Hamas and rising tensions across the Middle East. The Border Crisis, rising inflation, increased crime, and another contentious political battle for the White House.
This morning I want to remind you that we have an unchanging God in a changing world. The God who was with us yesterday has not forsaken or abandoned you, he is “The same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8) Further, the promises of The Word of God do not change. In this time of uncertainty, there are many promises that we can claim. One such promise is found in Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” God loves us with an everlasting love and he will see us through this time of uncertainty.
On Monday I visited Betty Terada who fell and broke her pelvis. As she was in the hospital I assured her of God’s presence with her.
Thought For Today and Today’s Prayer Focus: Take time to praise God that his character and nature do not change even though our world changes. Thank God that he loves us and is always with us.
